Free People Spring Wishlist // Portland Event!

~
Hey everyone! I have a super exciting announcement to make!

Free People has invited myself, along with Kacie of Shy Girl Loud Voice and Tonya The Moptop, to co-host a styling event being held at one of our local Free People stores! There will be refreshments, a photo booth, and styling sessions! If you're in the area, you should swing by and see us, and pick up something special for the Spring/Summer season! You can RSVP right here!

Below I posted a few (and by a few, I mean a small fraction) of my wishlist items I would love to get for this Spring/Summer. Let me know in the comments what you're most excited to wear for these upcoming warm weather months!

Perfect Summer

 This skirt.
Is my favorite thing.

Head to toe Free People today, guys! This skirt has been on my wishlist for so long now; every variation, and every color of it has been added to my Free People wishlist and I can finally cross it off my (really long) list! I happened into Free People (Yeah, right. That never happens. I happened to plan to go to Free People and not tell my boyfriend about it until we were already there.) yesterday and saw this skirt on sale. Having $1.00 to my name, I figured it would be best to wait and order it online. Plot twist! It isn't on sale online! After I found that information out, I made the command decision that this skirt should be my very first ever credit card purchase. I'm feeling very adult, and very confident in my new skirt. I justified the purchase by telling myself it is the absolute perfect summer time skirt, and when I think about it now, I didn't have one of those! So no regrets here. :)

February Wishlist

My budget allows for me to make about one significant fun purchase a month. Last month, it was the pants you all saw in my last post. And in case you didn't see that, check the bad ass pants out by clicking here! Anyways, we're about halfway through February, and my gears are turning on what I want my next special piece to be, assuming I can save up enough. Hmm. I'm thinking number three... If not, number two! (For those of you who don't know, I've had a massive obsession with Nirvana as well as doodling eyeballs all over everything since as long as I can remember obsessing over things - So this shirt is kind of a special find!)

Christmas Wishlist: 2013

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a long time. I've been so busy with school, but I took my last final yesterday and am feeling so relieved. I also haven't been posting because I'm leaving back to Alaska for the Holidays and won't be back until January 5th. If I were blogging this month, I would really want it to be for the whole month and all Christmas related posts, but I know I won't be able to blog much, if at all, when I'm back home. It makes me really sad, so that's why I haven't posted much so far this month. However, I've been thinking a lot about my blog, and when I return in January I plan on changing some things! I'm not sure what yet, but I've been blogging for a while now and feel my blog needs to be revamped; whether it's in design or content or both! Hopefully you all will be as excited about that as I am!

I couldn't bring myself to not post a Christmas list though, so I threw my wishlist together through Photoshop for you guys! Comment below and let me know what you've been asking Santa for this year. :)

 My 2013 Christmas Wishlist!

1. Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran Bag
9. Cute Boot Socks

Of course, I'm not by any means expecting all of these gifts, but these are definitely on the top half of my list. What's on your guys' list? Don't forget to comment below!

Wishlist: Free People in Fall!

Hey everyone! I could probably do a million posts for fall featuring Free People, but I figured I should start with one. :) Free People is a great store for any season. Even though a lot of their pieces have a lot of personality, I still think they are very versatile. The uniqueness is not over the top or costume-y, and I think drama is a great thing to have when getting dressed for fall! Here are ten pieces I've had my eye on for fall.

(My personal favorite, along with the next one...)

Wishlist Wednesday: Red!

Hey guys!
Sorry I've been posting so late into the day. I'm going to try to start creating my posts the day before so I can get them to you in a timely manor. (Except for the outfit posts.) I have been thinking a lot about what to do for this Wishlist Wednesday. I almost decided on doing it on Free People's July catalog, but I did a Free People post last Wednesday! Instead I picked an overall theme, rather than specific items.
When I look into my closet, I see a lot of the same colors. I know this is a common problem for a lot of women - We know what we like, so when a top comes in the color we know we look good in, we purchase it! I have a lot of darker colors in my closet. Navy blue, olive green, black, gray, etc. I've always been told that I look good in red, but never wore it because I think I look too Christmas-y. Don't get me wrong, I've seen plenty of other women pull it off beautifully. Maybe I just have a Christmas-y face? Anyways, I've been craving some more red in my wardrobe! I think it's such a beautiful, fun, rich color, and if I can just get that silly Christmas idea out of my head (it's well on it's way out, don't worry) I think I could be seeing a lot more red in my future.

What colors do you wish you had more of in your closet?

Wishlist Wednesday: Free People!

Hey Guys! It's wishlist Wednesday again, and this week I am focusing on the store I can't get enough of lately - Free People! I don't know what it is about this brand; Maybe it's the carefree look, the flouncy prettiness, the quality, or all of those things, but I am loving everything they have for summer! This is just a small fraction of my wishlist. The Bossa Nova dress is probably my favorite - I've been eyeing it for the past couple of months. But because of my current, ahem, financial situation, I think my next purchase will be the Queensland bag - so cute!

Wishlist Wednesday!

Kenzie's Beauty Wishlist!

1. Urban Decay Naked Basics - I have both the large Naked palettes, and they are my favorite eye shadow palettes ever! I really want the new Naked Basics because it has more matte and natural shadows than the original Naked 1 & 2, and I prefer matte make up.

2. Simple Kind to Skin Exfoliating Wipes - Who doesn't love a good exfoliating wipe? I've heard from quite a few sources that Simple brand makes really great skin care products, but I have yet to try any.

3. Essie Brand Nail Polish in Watermelon - It's just such a cute color! I like it because it's not too pink, but not too red either. Perfect for Summer, or if you want red nails but don't want them to look too dramatic, and more fun.

4. Benetint - My mom uses this stuff when she gets gussied up and it always looks so pretty. I've never owned a liquid blush, but I think that this one is great for all skin tones and it also doubles as a lip stain!

5. BeneFit Mascara: They're Real! - Oh. My. God. Usually I can be pretty indifferent about mascaras. I mean, they all do the same thing right? Well I finally found one that is literally amazing! The name says it all, "They're Real!" gives the look of full, long, amazing lashes. Like, unbelievable lashes, and if it wasn't for the fact that it looks so natural like all BeneFit products, I'd totally think they were fake!

6. Marc Jacob's Daisy - Okay, so everyone who knows me knows that I love love love Marc Jacobs. Not just his clothes and accessories, but also his perfume! All the Daisy and Dot perfumes smell so sweet and feminine. I think I'm going to get a small one, because perfume lasts a long time and the smaller size is only $20!

7. Maybelline Color Tattoo - I'm a little nervous to try this, but it always looks so cute when I see it on other people. If nothing else, the white color would make a great base for a powdered eyeshadow to really pop. I still want to get a few, just to try!

8. Cover Girl Lip Smoochies - I am really wanting some of these! They have great reviews. They're a lip balm that also has the tiniest bit of gloss in it, as well as a slight pigment. So instead of having to put on your lip balm to keep your lips hydrated, then the color, then the gloss, it's all in one! The color above is "Tweet Me", but they come in so many cute colors and they're only 5.99!
