There's something so essential about being outside. I'm from a place where you take two steps out the front door and you're in the wild, so going to parks and walking on pavement are newer experiences to me, that I sometimes have to work hard to enjoy. Though, no matter where I go, the sky never changes - And there's something about a sunny sky that calls for a pretty skirt and a little bare skin. It's only natural.

Quintessential
These clogs are definitely becoming my quintessential warm weather shoe.
They're cute, comfortable, and the way they tie at the ankle makes them
ideal to wear with cuffed denim, shorts, or a cute dress! I find myself
getting dressed in the morning for class, needing an easy outfit like
the one I wear today, but still looking for a way to make it
interesting. These wood and suede clogs do just the trick. They're so
cute and comfy in fact, I am thinking about getting a second pair in a
different color! That's when you know it's good.

Cold Weather Maxi
So I'm really really in love with my skirt. I got it from Nordstrom about a week ago, along with this really cozy cardigan I'm wearing. Unfortunately, I still have the chills so I only had this outfit on for a little while today before having to change into something warmer for my walk to class. I'll definitely be wearing this skirt again soon though!
Have you made any exciting purchases lately?

Nightmare Hippie Girl
Hey guys. I don't know why, but lately I've been having really off days. When I feel off, wearing something cute will usually make me feel better. I know that sounds kind of weird, but I figure if you're taking the time to read a fashion blog you might kind of get where I'm coming from. Lately though, I've been having to change midway through the day because of weather and other conditions, like how much I would be walking.
Anyways, as for today's outfit (or first half of the day outfit, I should say) this is a dress that I bought a few weeks ago. I'm not going to lie, I spend a lot of money on clothes. However, I'm one of those shoppers who usually buys a bunch of really nice things rather than one super great thing. This was my little splurge though. I've gotta tell you - I'm not regretting it :) This dress is very much my style, though it's not the kind of thing that I would wear everyday. I love the 60s Mod shape, but because of the lace and bell sleeves, it still gives off a very laid back, hippie chick vibe; a vibe I'm always on board for. It came in lighter colors, but I opted for the black because A) It's my favorite, and if something comes in black, I buy in black! B) It gave it a more edgy vibe, whereas a lighter color might have been too girly. (For those of you who don't know, the title of this post is a title of a Beck song. Fun fact! But doesn't it suit the outfit well?)
What was the last thing you splurged on?

Blustery Day!
Hey guys! Today's weather has been kind of weird... It's still super hot (It's supposed to get up to 84!) but it's also pretty windy. It's a little difficult to dress for heat and wind at the same time! However, my lace-y tunic, shorts, and jean jacket did just the trick!
This outfit would be super cute to wear to school or work, but today I'm just running some little errands and for the most part being lazy. I always prefer to be lazy in style though - I hate wearing pajamas all day, it makes me feel so blah!
These boots are without a doubt one of my most worn and favorite things that I own. They're Steve Madden Troopa boots, and I am so in love with them! I've had mine for almost three years now, and they're still in great condition. They're the kind of boots that look even better with age, and I would honestly be surprised if I had to replace them within the next few years! Yeah. That good.
Please find it in your hearts to ignore how silly I look in these photos. It was windy, remember!! :)
