Take the Fall

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days! I've been pretty busy avoiding the sun. I'm beyond ready to start transitioning my wardrobe more towards fall, my favorite season for countless reasons. I couldn't exactly get dressed today using as many layers of cozy fabrics as I would have liked, but I could play a bit with the color palette. Ripped tights and sheer Victorian style tops in berry tones will just have to hold me over til it cools down!

What's your favorite season for fashion?

Be It Hell or High Water

If you're ever in Oregon and you don't go to Cannon Beach, you're living your life wrong.

Matt and I took a spur of the moment bus ride to Cannon Beach for the day, and it was so much fun! The water was cold, but the sand was hot, and there was a cool breeze which made everything perfect. Of course, what better item to wear than my Easy Breezy Slip?

As a huge Goonies fan, Cannon Beach was also on my bucket list of places I wanted to see. I cannot explain how much this break from the city meant to me. I am not used to being surrounded by cement all the time, and it honestly takes a lot out of me. I'm not an urban dweller I guess. I think I realized (or rerealized) this trip how much I adore the sea. I guess I just equate salt water with home, and I can always find my way home. Be it hell or high water, I'll find my way to the ocean.

Sun Spot

Finally, a bit of sunshine! And when I say a "bit", I mean it; As per Portland's usual, a sunny day merely means a few more sunny moments scattered through the day. But I'm not complaining! You guys are probably complaining about how often I talk about the weather, but it's undeniably obvious how much it effects what people wear. Today, I decided to embrace the sun spots with my favorite high rise corduroy shorts, my kimono, and my new turtle neck crop top from Nordstrom. I have been lusting after a top like this, and I finally found the perfect one at a great price this past week. I love it when a plan comes together!

If You Say So

I don't think you can really tell in these photos, but it was raining pretty hard when I took these photos! It's that time of year again here in Portland, I guess! Today, I just wanted to dress really casual while still looking cute. This outfit is a little tame for my taste, but the balance of masculine and feminine pulled it together for me. My flowy top with crochet details, I thought, looked nice with my skater style skinny jeans, jacket, and beanie. I had to visit my modeling agency today and everyone there told me I looked "super chic" - I guess if your modeling agency tells you you look good, you should believe them! There are plenty of outfits that I plan out and get excited to ear, so I think it's interesting sometimes when I wear something and don't think much of it, and end up getting noticed for it.

Do you ever wear an outfit you don't think much of until someone mentions something?
