Free People: Bridgeport Village Styling Event!

As promised, photos from the Bridgeport Village Free People styling event!

I had such a good time this past Thursday. Good people, decadent pastries, adorable clothes, and my friends/fellow bloggers Tonya (The Moptop) and Kacie (Shy Girl, Loud Voice) made for a great evening. A huge thank you to Free People for inviting the three of us to cohost this awesome event, and an even bigger thank you to everyone who got a chance to come out, dress up, and have fun with us!

Make sure to follow the Free People official twitter account & instagram account, as well as Free People Bridgeport Village's instagram to keep up to date on cute clothes, and cool events!

Sun Spot

Finally, a bit of sunshine! And when I say a "bit", I mean it; As per Portland's usual, a sunny day merely means a few more sunny moments scattered through the day. But I'm not complaining! You guys are probably complaining about how often I talk about the weather, but it's undeniably obvious how much it effects what people wear. Today, I decided to embrace the sun spots with my favorite high rise corduroy shorts, my kimono, and my new turtle neck crop top from Nordstrom. I have been lusting after a top like this, and I finally found the perfect one at a great price this past week. I love it when a plan comes together!

Find Your Spring Style - FP Styling Event!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting so far this month. It's my spring break which of course means my sleeping schedule is even more out of control than usual, and my best friend visited me from Washington, and then - Then my camera broke. But I fixed it. With a hammer. Anyways.

I got to do a little shopping over spring break, and of course that meant visiting Free People (both online, and in store.) I have been lusting over this tee for months! I finally got my hands on it recently, and am obsessed. I don't think I've taken it off since I got it. There's so many ways to style it, but today I chose a simple approach with dark wash jeans, chunk socks,  the infamous (at least, infamous on my blog) Belmont clog, halter bra, and my very first ever wide-ish brimmed fedora!

Because of how FP inspired this outfit is, I thought it would be a great time to remind you all of the Free People styling event going on this Thursday! If you're in the Portland area, swing by Free People in Bridgeport Village for a special styling event, hosted by myself, Kacie (of Shy Girl Loud Voice) and Tonya (The Moptop). There will be refreshments, a photo booth, styling, and even a special free gift for the first 50 people who attend! RSVP here, and come on down to find your spring style!

Head to Toe

I've been wearing more and more head to toe Free People outfits lately. If I had to blame it on something, I would probably say it's my anxiousness for summer. This top for example, is such a perfect summer time piece for me. It's light, breezy, feminine, and easy to style. That's how I would describe my favorite summer time looks, and it's also how I'd describe  most everything I buy from Free People. It's definitely the essentially summer time store if you're looking to splurge. And I'm always looking to splurge.

What is your favorite store for summer time clothing?
