This is Portland's "snow storm". Adorable! In all seriousness, I would like to thank the city of Portland for being so overwhelmingly safe. I enjoyed not leaving my apartment for three days - Sincerely!

Bob and the Monster! If you're a fan of Thelonious Monster, Red Hot Chili Peppers, or the early 1980s Hollywood punk scene, watch this movie. I was feeling totally inspired after.

I just love the way my cat somehow takes on the shape of a cinnamon roll or some other dough-y substance when she's laying down. Her wedging herself between my boyfriend and I just sort of added to the cuteness.

Kitty and Lisa Frank had one wild night by the looks of it. Better let her sleep this one off.

I hope you guys enjoy these posts because I really enjoy posting them! It's nice to recap and remind myself of all the little moments I've compiled. I completely forgot about how much fun Matt and I had snuggling up for Bob and The Monster, and how delicious those duck fat fries were when bowling. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to some outfit photos once the weather turns into something a little more pleasing!

12th Man

It's the Super Bowl! I know a lot of you don't care, but I do. I went out and bought this shirt this morning specifically for today. My boyfriend was raised in Washington, and because Alaska doesn't have a team, a lot of Alaskans default their favorite team to being the Seahawks. Needless to say, I'm a Seahawks fan! I don't watch any other football teams, so I don't consider myself a football buff by any means, but when it comes to the Seahawks, I pay a lot more attention. I love the energy of being a sports fan, and I love how sports can bring people together. I hope you all have a fun time today, whether it's cheering your favorite time, watching the half time show (Go Red Hot Chili Peppers!!), watching the ads, or snacking on all the good food. Happy Super Bowl!

Saturday

Hey guys. This term of school is the first term where my Saturday actually lands on a Saturday, and though I usually have some online class homework due on Saturdays, I still like to dedicate this day to myself in a way. I kept my outfit casual and feminine today, so it was a minimum stress and effort look. These looks are sometimes my favorite. I know when it comes to fashion blogging, sometimes it's more fun to see people's outlandish looks, but I also just love seeing people's personal styles, and my personal style on Saturday is all about looking cute but casual.

I've been thinking about something. My outfits are almost always inspired by music. Whether I'm inspired by the way a musician dresses, or just the general vibe of a certain song, I'm always feeling inspired by what I'm hearing. I probably have a new favorite song everyday which dictates my feelings and style that day, so I figured I would start posting them and sharing with you! Today would be "Brendan's Death Song" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. For me, it is such a peaceful and beautiful song. It makes me want to relax and just be - Which is what Saturdays are all about. :)
