Big Kid

 Hey guys!

I have another day off of school today, yaaay! But I still have a whole other project to get done today, but luckily it's the kind of project I can get done whilst watching Gossip Girl from the comfort of my living room. I haven't seen the whole show, only the first season and some random episodes after that. I have to say, I can see what the hype is about. I love it! I'm not sure though if I love the show for it's content or because of my huge fashion-girl-crush on Blake Lively. I think both.

Anyways, today was one of those days where I woke up knowing what I wanted to wear. A lot of the time, I don't know until I get up and take a peek in my closet. I love it when it comes to me in the morning before I even get up, or better yet, the night before. This morning I woke up and I thought to myself "I have that polka dot dress and those unopened purple tights. Why aren't I utilizing them?" :) I wasn't sure if it would look too childish when I put it on, but I dress pretty classic a lot of the time, and it's good to have some fun! I'm a big kid at heart, anyways.

Baby Doll

 Hello there!

Today is another one of those days where I don't have a whole lot planned. However, I was on call for work tonight so I thought I'd wear this dress I got a few months ago from a thrift store in Seattle, because I haven't worn it out yet. Though I didn't get my on call, I'm still glad I wore it. This outfit, to me, is very Courtney Love circa 1992 - Not something I mind, considering our shared love of baby doll dresses!

Boy Scouts of America

 Hello again~

So, I'm pretty much in love with the shirt I'm wearing in these pictures. One of my best friends bought it for me this year for my birthday. We were at a thrift store and they had a special section for military wear. She came out from behind the rack in this and I asked "what branch are you?" in a super serious tone she responded "Boy scouts of America."
Well okay then.
Needless to say, it was purchased within minutes. I've only worn it a few times, but now that I'm out of those horribly tiny dorms and can actually find it when I want, I think I'll start wearing it more. :) I love finding unique pieces in thrift stores. Do you guys have any good thrift store finds?

Use the Force

 I found these shorts at Goodwill yesterday for $7. I was a little on the fence about them, but I'm actually really glad I purchased them! Pieces like these shorts are the kind of items that aren't very conventional or obvious to have in your closet, but I feel that they can be a lot of fun! Though they are preppy golf shorts, I love taking pieces that can be funked up - Hence the Star Wars T-shirt and bright blue bag!
