Favorites Friday: Blogger Special - Le Happy

I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of picky when it comes to bloggers. I think that the world of fashion blogging is so vast today that though there are some truly inspiring and unique blogs out there, finding someone who you think is really interesting is a bit of a diamond in the rough. That's why I was so excited when I stumbled upon the blog, Le Happy.
What first drew me to Lua's blog was her name. I've always loved the name Lua; it's so rare. Just like her name, Lua's style is rare too. She has such a fun, funky, punk style. She reminds me of the kind of girl I'd want to be if I lived in LA in the 1980s, only she's in New York right now! (Which makes it even cooler.) You can always count on her blog to introduce you to new, unique brands. I'm always on the hunt for new stores because, though I love Urban brand stores, they're so popular that their uniquness can be sometimes overshaddowed. (Not that their popularity is a bad thing!) Lua's style is refreshing and full of her personality. Honestly, as dorky as it may make me sound, when I first say Lua's blog the first word that came to my mind was "cool". Though Lua's style isn't quite what I would call my own, it is definitely up my alley -- And besides, that's the great thing about her style and her blog, it is definitely all her own.

Not to mention -- That hair. So damn cool

Friday Favorites - Useful DIY's!

Hey guys! It's Friday Favorite's time!
Today I'm going to show you all a couple DIY projects that I found online and I think are really clever. I love DIY projects as much as the next gal, but I have a hard time wanting to spend any money or time on a DIY project that is completely useless. Cute, maybe. But useless! So I thought I would show you all a few DIY projects that are both cute, smart, and useful!
I'm a very sentimental person, and I can't bring myself to part with any cards or letters I've gotten over the years! My boyfriend and I have hundreds of love notes that we wrote to each other throughout middle and high school, and I think the scrap book idea would be cute for those. As for cards that aren't from close relatives and family, some of the other ideas such as re-purposing the old cards might make me feel a little better than just throwing away something someone took the time to write to me!
I made a few tie blankets when I was about 13 years old. I think if I could do it then, I can do it now! They are so so super easy, inexpensive, cozy and cute! I am thinking about making them and donating them. There are so many people and kids in the world who need simple things like blankets, and these are just so inexpensive and simple! If you know how to use scissors and you know how to tie a knot, you can handle these blankets!

I love these! They're so simple and they turn out so pretty. All you need is modge podge, tissue paper, and a basic glass candle holder. I'm thinking of making these for my mom, because she loves candles. Cute candle holders can actually get pretty expensive, so saving the extra money and having something so easy to make and cute? Pretty good deal to me!

What are your guys' favorite simple and sensible DIY Projects?

Friday Favorites - Elephants!

Hey guys! I decided that every Friday I am going to try to show you one of my favorite trends, products, brands, and anything else that may come to my little mind.
I've pretty much been obsessed with elephants since I was a little girl. I loved them because they were so big, but so sweet and caring for each other. There is something just too cute about a gentle giant. I'm seeing elephants pop up everywhere from clothes to home stuff, and I have to say I'm loving it!
Do you have a weakness for any particular creatures?
