Feel the Rain

It's dark and gloomy and cold and wet here in Portland, which upsets me greatly because yesterday (a day that I spent 100% of my time either in class, at a modeling casting call, or waiting for my cab) was absolutely gorgeous and one of the first "warmer" days we've had this spring! I'm hoping that my weather app on my phone is lying to me when it says it's supposed to stay this nasty until Tuesday. :( I couldn't let that stop me from wearing these shoes though. I hope you all are having better weather where ever you are! As a wise man once said, "Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet." And yes, that's another Dylan quote for ya'.

Set the Standard

I woke up so late today, I almost thought of not doing a blog post! When I wear outfits, I dress for myself. Sometimes though, I have days where I don't really want to get dressed too much because I know nobody will really see it anyways. That's why I like outfits like this. It's not so amazing that you want to show it off to everybody, but it's cute enough to blog about! That's become my standard when getting dressed - "Is this blog worthy?" On an exciting note though, I do have a lot of new pieces that are definitely things that I want to "show off" to everybody.

If those of you reading have blogs as well, how do you gauge if your outfit is blog worthy?

The Blogger

This outfit to me just screams blogger. I'm not sure what exactly about it gives me that impression, but I think the idea of classic meets quirky is a style that's present in most bloggers in some form or another. I've been thinking a lot lately about the blogging world, and discovered so many great and unique people through it. A year ago, I didn't have a hobby, but slowly but surely you guys have become my hobby. I would just like to say that I really appreciate everyone who reads and subscribes, it means a lot to me as I've been thinking more and more about taking my knowledge of fashion and combining it with my love of social networking somehow for a career. Every page view, subscriber, comment, and reader helps. I only hope that I help you in some ways as well.

That being said, blogging rules. Is there anything that you would like to see more of on this blog, or in the blogging realm in general?

Earthy

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've done an outfit post, but after buying the clogs from my wishlist as well as floral corduroy pants, I figured an outfit post was in order. I am so in love with these shoes! I originally wanted to get the black ones but they had these on the counter as I was buying the pants and they were in my size. I figured it had to be fate. There's just no other explanation. Besides, I can always return them, or I can get the black ones anyways. The more the merrier, right?
